Kay Combe joins John Reynolds and me (and many, many more folks) in agreeing that our death by gun problem is fundamentally a human problem; evil or imbalanced people who get their hands on guns.
Reality is that we don't know how, nor do we have the will (Constitutional issues and huge amounts of money) to test all Americans for sanity and good-heartedness. But we can put in place Constitutionally-acceptable measures to limit the murders these people commit by use of guns.
The fruitful debate would be over what measures are most likely to be effective in keeping guns out of the hands of would-be murderers, balanced by minimal impact on folks who choose to have guns for legitimate purposes.
